Organic Fizzy Lemonade

Organic Fizzy Lemon Soda
Materials
One organic lemon
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
Plastic cup (please use cup provided with "Cuppa Snow" or "How does a Meteor burn?" before you do either of those two experiments)
Materials from your house
A cup of water
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
Spoon to mix
How do I begin?
1. Squeeze the juice of half the lemon into the cup.
2. Add 1/2 a cup of water, a little at a time, while stirring with the spoon. Taste to ensure that it is not too sour or too watery. If it is too sour, add more water as needed. If it is too watery, squeeze more lemon juice from the other half of the lemon.
4. Add a pinch of salt.
5. Add about 1 teaspoon sugar; taste and add more if desired.
6. Finally, add 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda). Take a quick sip while it is bubbling! Your delicious organic home-made lemon soda is ready!
What just happened?
A chemical reaction took place between the bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and the lemon juice. They form a gas called carbon dioxide or CO2. This is the same gas that is added to other commercial sodas like Coke, Pepsi, Sprite and others.
